When Do Babies Start Teething?
Teething will most likely begin between 6 and 12 months. Usually, a baby’s two front bottom teeth will come in first, followed by their two top front teeth. However, a first tooth can appear as early as 3-4 months or as late as 14 months. The teething period should last around two years. However, if you are concerned about your baby’s teeth, or lack of, you should seek advice from your health advisor or dentist.
What Age Do Babies Use Rattles?
Babies can have rattles from birth to 2 years. A baby is born with a natural grasp reflex, but it will take time to develop. From 3 to 6 months babies can grasp rattle toys themselves and will love the noise they make. Choose colourful toy rattles with texture and interesting sounds.
How Do Rattles Help Newborns?
A rattle toy can help a baby learn new skills. At first babies will simply hold a rattle with their natural grasp reflex, but over the coming months they will learn to shake their rattle toy and hold it in the air, developing fine motor skills. Baby rattles are the perfect way to encourage your baby to explore the world around them.
